The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC)'s Ocean Stewardship Fund for Science and Research is requesting proposals for strategic and applied research to help MSC-certified fisheries reduce their impacts on endangered, threatened, and protected species. The RFP deadline is October 18, 2026.
Funding up to GBP 50,000 is available for projects beginning between April and June 2027. Projects may run for up to two years.
Applicants may be from academic institutions, governmental and non-governmental organizations, independent researchers, fishing industry associations, producer organizations, or fishing companies working in association with MSC certified fisheries.
Preference will be given to proposals that have the potential to benefit multiple fisheries, generating knowledge and solutions that will accelerate best practice across the wider MSC program and fisheries sector.
