Summary

Pearl Nets, a passive acoustic deterrent, were tested in commercial gillnet fisheries in the Western Baltic Sea. Compared to a control, the Peal Nets reduced harbor porpoise (Phocoena phocoena) bycatch and maintained target catch rate for Atlantic cod (Gadus morhua).
